Would have sent Vinesh to Rajya Sabha if Cong had majority : Hooda

Chandigarh, Aug 8 (UNI) Opposition leader in Haryana Assembly Bhupinder Hooda on Thursday said that if the Congress party had majority they would have sent Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat to Rajya Sabha.
Hooda was speaking to media.
When asked about his reaction to Chief Minister's announcement that Vinesh will be treated as a Silver Medalist, Hooda said that he agreed to that, adding that in fact she should be treated as a Gold medalist because if she would have fought in the final, she had the courage to win a Gold medal.
He also demanded an inquiry into her disqualification episode.
Notably, the election schedule for one vacant RS seat has been announced by Election Commission of India on Wednesday. The election process has to be commenced on August 14. However, the numbers in Haryana assembly are in favour of the ruling BJP.
