Youth shot dead over old rivalry in Hamirpur

Hamirpur (UP), Jan 29 (UNI) An 18-year-old youth was shot dead inside his house allegedly over old rivalry in Rath area of Hamirpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening, police sources said here.
Police sources said here that Santosh Raikwar, a resident of Kaitha village, was having an old enmity with Pramod and Baghraj due to which they were jailed in the past. "On Sunday evening Pramod and Baghraj made a forced entry in Santosh's house and shot his son Harishchandra, a student of class 11th," they said.
Police sources said that Santosh and his wife were not present in their house at the time of the incident. "Harishchandra, who sustained bullet injury in his abdomen, was taken to the community health center by the neighbours where doctors declared him dead," they said.
