Maharashtra reports 3,142 Covid cases, 7 deaths

Mumbai, July 7 (UNI) Maharashtra has reported 3,142 Covid-19 cases and 7 deaths, the health bulletin stated on Thursday.
With these new cases, the state’s Covid tally has surged to 79,93,051 and the death toll stands at 1,47,956.
At least 3,142 people were discharged, taking overall recoveries to 78,25,114.
The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.90 per cent and fatality rate stands at 1.85 per cent .
At present, there 19,981 active cases.
Meanwhile, in Marathwada region 138 Covid cases and a single death were reported -- 56 cases and single death in Aurangabad district, 47 cases in Jalna district, 16 cases in Osmanabad district, 15 in Latur district and 4 cases in Beed district, the bulletin added.
