₹400 crore sent for Bihar polls, Bengaluru projects neglected: Ashok

Bengaluru, Nov 15 (UNI) Opposition leader R Ashok, highlighting the recent Bihar elections, urged that Bengaluru does not need a toll-charging tunnel road and called on the government to instead extend the public-friendly metro project.
He criticised the Congress government for prioritising political spending over city development, noting the ₹400 crore sent for Bihar, while continuing projects that harm the environment, including the planned destruction of Sankey Lake.
A signature collection, inspection, and verification with government officials for the preservation of Sankey Lake was organised today near the lake’s main gate on 18th Cross, Malleshwaram.
