‘Dhurandhar’ maintains strong hold, worldwide total nears Rs 225 crore

New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s Dhurandhar is on a remarkable box-office run, maintaining strong momentum after a blockbuster opening weekend.
Following an impressive Rs 100 crore haul in its first three days, the film continued its upward trajectory through Day 4, with early estimates showing further growth on Tuesday, setting the stage for a stellar first week.
The spy action thriller reportedly recorded a 30 percent jump from Monday’s numbers, showcasing exceptional weekday stability that many major releases struggle to hold after their initial surge.
Dhurandhar opened with Rs 28 crore on Friday, followed by sharp weekend rises with Rs 32 crore on Saturday and Rs 43 crore on Sunday, bringing the weekend total to Rs 103 crore net, as per Sacnilk.
Monday saw the expected decline but still delivered a strong Rs 23.25 crore net. Early estimates suggest Tuesday brought in around Rs 26.5 crore, pushing the film’s India net total to approximately Rs 152.75 crore.
On Tuesday, the film recorded an overall 39.66 percent Hindi occupancy, starting with 19.23 percent in the morning and rising steadily to 33.03 percent in the afternoon and 43.24 percent during evening shows.
With domestic net earnings crossing Rs 150 crore, the all-India gross has reached Rs 182.75 crore, while overseas collections stand at Rs 42 crore, taking the worldwide total to nearly Rs 224.75 crore. If this momentum continues, ‘Dhurandhar’ is on track to finish its first week at about Rs 175 crore net, cementing its position as one of the year’s biggest hits and a major success for Singh.
The makers have officially announced a sequel, slated for release on 19 March 2026, a reveal made in the post-credits scene of Part 1, following weeks of speculation that the film would be divided into two parts. The sequel is now poised for a major box-office clash with Yash’s 'Toxic' during the Eid 2026 weekend.
