"Never said a percentage" : Trump on tariffs over buying from Russia

Washington, Aug 6 (UNI) US President Donald Trump clarified that he never specified a tariff rate for countries engaged in business with Russia, pushing back against speculation of a proposed 100 per cent duty on Russian oil imports.
Speaking at a White House press conference which was convened to discuss the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics,Trump said, “I never said a percentage, but we’ll be doing quite a bit of that. We’ll see what happens over the next fairly short period of time.”
When asked specifically about the rumoured 100% tariff on Russian oil imports, Trump replied, “We have a meeting with Russia tomorrow. We’re going to see what happens.”
