‘Stranger Things 5’ episode runtimes revealed for first four episodes, Duffer Brothers debunk rumors

Washington, Oct 14 (UNI) The Stranger Things fandom can finally stop speculating about the marathon-length episodes.
According to Variety, series co-creator Ross Duffer has officially revealed the runtimes for the first four episodes of the highly anticipated fifth and final season of the Netflix hit, and they’re not as long as rumored.
Posting on Instagram, Duffer confirmed that the Season 5 premiere, titled “The Crawl,” will run 1 hour and 8 minutes. Episode 2, whose full title remains under wraps, clocks in at 54 minutes.
Episode 3, “The Turnbow Trap,” runs 1 hour and 6 minutes, and Episode 4, “Sorcerer,” will be 1 hour and 23 minutes long.
The announcement debunks recent viral posts and a Puck News report suggesting that every episode of Stranger Things 5 would exceed 90 minutes, or even stretch close to two hours.
Since its 2016 debut, Stranger Things mostly kept its episodes under the one-hour mark until Season 4, which saw expanded runtimes and a feature-length finale lasting two hours and 22 minutes.
Netflix will roll out Stranger Things 5 in three separate drops, The first four episodes arrive November 26, over Thanksgiving weekend, with “Sorcerer” serving as the mid-season finale.
The next three episodes will premiere on Christmas Day, and the series finale, “The Rightside Up,” will debut on New Year’s Eve.
Directed by the Duffer Brothers, Shawn Levy, and Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption), the final season features the return of the beloved ensemble cast; Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke.
