'Toxic' launches 9 minute preview at CinemaCon

Los Angeles, April 17 (UNI) The team behind "Toxic" offered a substantial boost to the film’s pre-release momentum by unveiling a nine-minute preview at CinemaCon 2026, giving attendees a more expansive look at its narrative scope and visual scale.
Though the footage remains unreleased to the public, those in attendance were privy to a substantially richer showcase that reportedly expands on the film’s world-building, character dynamics and action design. The exclusive showcase signals a strategic push to position the project as a grand theatrical spectacle.
A source told Variety India, “We got to see a nine-minute preview of ‘Toxic’ at CinemaCon, and it really expands on what’s been shown so far. It gives you a much richer sense of the world and the themes. What stood out was how it balances edgy and mass appeal while still feeling layered in its characters. There was a genuine buzz in the room.”
Set across a sweeping timeline from the 1940s to the 1970s, the film adopts a distinctive “fairy tale for grown-ups” idiom, an evocative narrative mode that fuses mythic sensibilities with psychological depth, leaving a resonant impression on viewers.
Headlined by Yash, “Toxic” has been steadily building anticipation since its announcement. The CinemaCon showcase marks one of the first instances where the team has offered a longer and more immersive look at the film, indicating confidence in the material and its big-screen appeal.
Helmed by Geetu Mohandas, “Toxic” also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi in key roles. The film’s music is composed by Ravi Basrur, Vishal Mishra, Tanishk Bagchi and it is positioned as a large-scale action drama. Backed by a major production setup, the film is slated for a theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
