2.72 lakh rooftop solar plants generate 4 million units everyday under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana in UP

Lucknow, Nov 15 (UNI) The Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana has achieved record progress in Uttar Pradesh as the state has installed over 2.72 lakh rooftop solar plants, generating nearly 4 million units of electricity every day.

With rooftop solar capacity now exceeding 950 MW, Uttar Pradesh ranks among the top-performing states nationally, third in installations after Gujarat and Maharashtra, and second in total applications, officials here on Saturday disclosed.
