20 pc of global heart attack deaths occur in India

Kolkata, Oct 1 (UNI) Prevalence of coronary heart disease has gone up three times over the past three decades in India which now records 20 percent of heart attack deaths worldwide, a report said on Tuesday.
The report on India’s cardiac health – Every Beat Counts - has been launched by BM Birla Heart Hospital, part of CK Birla Hospitals.
The report not only sheds light on the cardiac health crisis but also offers insights and actionable strategies to address the growing prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) across the country.
