240,000 stimulant tablets seized in eastern Myanmar

Yangon, Feb. 10 (UNI) Myanmar police seized 240,000 stimulant tablets in eastern Myanmar's Shan state, according to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint anti-narcotic task force intercepted a motorcycle in Tachileik township on Feb. 9 and confiscated 4,000 stimulant tablets along with a suspect.
Further investigation led to the seizure of an additional 6,000 stimulant tablets at the suspect's house in the same township, it said.
