3 killed, 5 injured in Canada boat crash

Ottawa, May 20 (UNI) Three people were killed and five others injured Saturday night following a boat crash in Canada, local media reported Sunday.
It happened after 9:30 p.m. local time (0130 GMT) in the Buck Bay area of Bobs Lake, about 140 km south of Canada's capital, Ottawa. "One boat was described as an open bow fishing style boat and the other as a speed boat," local police said in an update.
The police said that three people were pronounced dead at the scene and five others were taken to hospital, CTV News reported.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, said the report.
