Aamra Bangali seeks action against Tripura’s royal scion for hate speech

Agartala, Sept 11 (UNI) Aamra Bangali, a leading socio-political organisation of Tripura’s non-tribals, today sought action against royal scion and ruling BJP’s ally in the state, TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, accusing him of instigating ethic disturbance.
Aamra Bangali reacted sharply a day after Pradyot, addressing a protest gathering for securing tribal rights in New Delhi's Jantar Mantar, claimed that he was the owner of Agartala, with all others being his tenants. He called upon tribal parties and organisations of the Northeast to join hands for reclaiming their rights.
Aamra Bangali State Secretary Gauranga Rudra Pal accused Debbarma of attempting to rekindle ethnic tensions reminiscent of the 1980 riots, and said, “Pradyot Kishore is deliberately creating a divisive environment between tribals and non-tribals for his personal gain, and the government should take a serious view of it.”
