AAP accuses EC of bias in Bihar voter list revision

New Delhi October 12 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Sunday launched sharp criticism against the Election Commission of India, alleging that its recent Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Bihar systematically favored the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Singh claimed that the revision process, which resulted in the deletion of 80 lakh voter names, found only 315 foreign nationals on the list. He stated that of these, 78 were Muslims and the rest were Nepali Hindus. He questioned the rationale behind the large-scale deletion of names for such a small number of non-citizens.
The AAP leader further alleged that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar had created 5 lakh duplicate voters and 1 lakh nameless voters, all intended to benefit Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. He described the Election Commission as "vote-chor" and asserted that it had pre-decided the outcome of the elections in favor of the NDA.
