AAP Alleges Negligence by BJP-Led MCD Over Deaths Linked to Open Drains in Delhi

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday alleged that negligence by the BJP-led Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) had led to multiple deaths caused by people falling into open drains across the national capital, and demanded accountability ahead of the monsoon season.
Addressing a press conference, AAP leaders Ankush Narang and Praveen Kumar claimed that several people had died in separate incidents in recent months after falling into uncovered drains in areas including Rohini, Burari, and Dilshad Garden. The party alleged that despite repeated incidents, the BJP-ruled MCD had failed to take adequate preventive measures.
