Adelaide Ashes Test to honour Bondi Beach victims with national tributes

Adelaide, Dec 16 (UNI) Australian music icon John Williamson will perform True Blue at Adelaide Oval as part of a series of tributes to the victims of the Bondi Beach terror attack, with the third Ashes Test set to begin on Wednesday.
Cricket Australia has announced multiple commemorative gestures ahead of the day-night Test, which will be the first major sporting event in the country since Sunday’s mass shooting.
A minute’s silence will be observed before play on Wednesday, flags will fly at half-mast, players will wear black armbands, and security will be heightened, with specially trained police deployed at the venue.
