Afghan security forces seize 135 kg illicit drugs

Kabul, May 22 (UNI) Security forces in Afghanistan have seized 135 kg of illicit drugs from southern Kandahar province, provincial police spokesman Mullah Asadullah Jamshidi said Wednesday.
The contraband was confiscated during a counter-narcotics operation conducted in the vicinity of Maiwand district along the highway linking Kandahar with the western Herat province, Jamshidi added.
Two people, including the driver of the truck, were arrested.
