Ahead of Assembly session, Vijay inaugurates 2-day training programme for MLAs

Chennai, June 16 (UNI) Ahead of the first session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly beginning on June 18 with the customary Governor’s address, a 2-day training programme for MLAs on how to conduct themselves in the House was inaugurated here on Tuesday.
Since a majority of the members of the ruling TVK are first timers, the Legsilative Assembly Secretariat at the initiative of Speaker JCD Prabhakar organised this two day orientation programme to educate them Assembly procedures and conduct.
The 2-day programme was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vijay. Officials said the training is designed to help legislators understand how to function effectively inside the Assembly, including rules of debate, speaking protocols, and decorum to be maintained during sessions. The sessions will also cover what members should and should not speak in the House, along with constitutional and procedural guidelines.

Telangana CEO directs officials to expedite electoral roll revision
