Akal Takht to order probe into viral video after Punjab CM’s appearance

Chandigarh, Jan 15 (UNI) Sri Akal Takht Sahib said on Thursday it would initiate an examination into a controversial video circulating on social media after Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann appeared before the highest temporal seat of the Sikhs and submitted his explanation. The Chief Minister remained present for about 40 minutes during the proceedings.
Addressing a press briefing later, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj stated that the Chief Minister presented his clarification on multiple issues, including remarks related to Sikh religious matters and the viral video.
The Jathedar stated that Mann had been asked to suggest two forensic laboratories so that the video could be technically examined and its authenticity established. “The objective is to bring the truth before the community. The Akal Takht bears no animosity towards anyone,” the Jathedar said.
