Ambedkar rejected Divisive Aryan Invasion theory: Jasveer Singh

Dharamshala, May 6 (UNI) Chairman of the Punjab Scheduled Castes Commission, Jasveer Singh Garhi, on Wednesday said that DB. R. Ambedkar was among the first scholars to academically refute the divisive Aryan Invasion Theory, demonstrating both intellectual rigour and strong national commitment.
He was speaking at the fourth session of the Ambedkar Dialogue Series organised by the Ambedkar Study Centre of Central University of Himachal Pradesh. Garhi said Ambedkar clearly recognized the theory’s divisive nature and rejected it outright, but his views are often overlooked in contemporary assessments.
Calling for moving beyond the theory in “Amrit Kaal,” he said Ambedkar’s ideas could serve as a foundation for a more unified national discourse.
