AP: Bill Gates appreciates AP's AI-driven agriculture initiatives

Vijayawada, Feb 16 (UNI) Bill Gates, Chair of the Gates Foundation, on Monday visited an agricultural field near Undavalli near here along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to review the state government’s use of advanced technologies and AI-based services in the farm sector.
During the visit, senior officials from the Agriculture Department briefed Gates on various initiatives aimed at increasing technology adoption among farmers. They explained how artificial intelligence tools are being used to monitor crop health, provide early detection of pests and diseases, and offer soil-based fertilizer recommendations.
The officials also showcased the use of drones for crop surveillance and precision spraying, as well as digital farming platforms and mobile-based advisory services designed to deliver real-time guidance to farmers.

CAG report exposes financial indiscipline of Naidu headed government: AP Ex-CM

Vijayawada, Mar 11 (UNI) Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed on Wednesday that the CAG report has ratified what YSRCP has been consistently stating about the financial indiscipline of the Chandrababu Naidu government.
Talking to mediapersons, he said that the CAG report revealed that the Naidu government has taken a whopping Rs 3.2 lakh crores loans in just two years while the borrowings during the entire five-year term of the previous YSRCP government was Rs 3.31 lakh crores.
