AP extends 5-day workweek for govt. offices by one year

Vijayawada, June 16 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the five-day work week for State Secretariat offices, heads of department offices, several municipal corporations and other government institutions for another year.
The order was issued by J Shyama Rao, Chief Secretary (Political), General Administration Department, through G.O. Ms. No. 71 on Tuesday.
The directive would take effect from Saturday, June 27. Working hours under the arrangement will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on designated working days.
