AP: Indian Navy to host three major Intl events in Visakhpatnam by Feb next year

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Dec 3 (UNI) Representing the largest congregation of naval forces and maritime leadership ever assembled in the region, more than 100 foreign delegates and navies from across the Indo-Pacific will participate in a series of three major international events here between February 15 and 25 next year.
The three major maritime events - The International Fleet Review (IFR), Exercise Milan and the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Conclave of Chiefs - will be conducted simultaneously for the first time, Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Flag officer commanding-in-chief of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), said in a Navy Day press conference here.
The mega event furthers Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mahasagar Vision, he said, adding the convergence will be a major operational manifestation of this vision, demonstrating India's role as a preferred security partner, capable of convening diverse stakeholders for cooperative maritime governance.
