AP: Minister Ramanaidu releases water to Krishna delta from Pattiseema Lift project

Eluru, July 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Water Resources Development Nimmala Ramanaidu released water from the Pattiseema Lift project to the Krishna delta by switching on the motors at Pattiseema village near the river Godavari on Wednesday.
The Minister performed traditional pooja and Jalaharati to the river Godavari water before switching on the motors. He released water to the Polavaram right main canal and the water would merge into the river Krishna at Prakasam barrage in Vijayawada after a couple of days.
Talking to the media on the occasion, Minister Ramanaidu said that the Chandrababu Naidu headed government had constructed the Lift project at a cost of Rs 1300 crore during 2014-19 tenure to pump the Godavari water to the Polavaram right main canal. The water through the canal would merge in the reservoir at the Prakasam barrage in Vijayawada and do away scarcity for water to irrigate in the Krishna delta, he added.

Telangana CEO directs officials to expedite electoral roll revision
