Arunachal, NHPC ink pact for 3,097 MW Etalin, India’s largest hydropower project

Itanagar, June 17 (UNI) In a major boost to Arunachal Pradesh’s hydropower development, the State Government and the NHPC Ltd signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the development of the 3,097 MW Etalin Hydroelectric Project in Dibang Valley district.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, NHPC Director (Projects) Sanjay Kumar Singh and senior officials of the State Government and NHPC Ltd on Tuesday.
The MoA was formally signed by NHPC Group General Manager Deepak Rattan Sagar and Joint Secretary (Hydropower), Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Hage Lailang, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the development of one of India’s most ambitious hydropower projects.

Centre allocates Rs 1,718 cr to Odisha under SDRF for 2026-27 fiscal
