Arunachal: Woman drug peddler arrested with 23 gram heroin

Itanagar, May 16 (UNI) The Itanagar Police have arrested a woman drug peddler and recovered 23 grams of suspected heroin from her possession, a senior officer said on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off that one woman is selling contraband suspected to be heroin at Abotani Colony, Itanagar, a police team headed by SDPO Kengo Dirchi along with Itanagar PS OC Inspector K Yangfo and others rushed to the spot after prior intimation to the Magistrate (NDPS), Itanagar Capital Region.
Upon raiding the rental apartment of the suspect Rina Biswas (31), two soap cases containing heroin weighing 23 grams were recovered from her possession, the Itanagar SP Rohit Rajbir Singh said.
