Athletes accuse J&K Sports Council of misusing public funds

Jammu, Nov 18 (UNI) The national-level athletes on Tuesday alleged "illegality and misuse" of public funds by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council and the self-styled J&K Softball Association, which has been functioning despite suspension and de-recognition at various levels.
“Illegality being committed by the J&K Sports Council in connection with a self-styled J&K Softball Association, which has been functioning despite suspension and de-recognition at various levels,” Pardeep Kumar, Chairman, National Softball Players Forum, flanked by senior players, told a media conference here.
Kumar claimed that the so-called J&K Softball Association-under which J&K players were made to play, was suspended by the J&K Sports Council in 2017, as revealed through an RTI.
