Attacker with Roofer's hammer subdued ahead of Euro match

Berlin, June 16 (UNI) Police opened fire on a man with a roofer's hammer during a march of Dutch football fans in the German city of Hamburg on Sunday, local media reported.

Police had to take action against a man who lunged at them with a roofer's hammer at 12.30 pm (local time) at a march of Dutch football fans ahead of the Euro 2024 group stage match between the Netherlands and Poland. His motives remain unknown, the Bild newspaper reported.
