Aus bank on world No.1 Voll to fill Healy void at T20 WC

Sydney, June 7 (UNI) Australia will head into the ICC Women's T20 World Cup with a new opening combination and a new batting spearhead, banking on world No.1-ranked Georgia Voll to fill the sizeable void left by the retirement of former captain Alyssa Healy.
At just 22, Voll has emerged as one of the brightest stars in women's cricket, rising from international debutant to the summit of the ICC Women's T20I batting rankings in little over a year. Her rapid ascent has given Australia confidence that the transition from the Healy era can be smoother than many anticipated.
The powerful right-hander will make her Women's T20 World Cup debut in England and Wales carrying not only the tag of the world's top-ranked batter but also the responsibility of partnering veteran Beth Mooney at the top of the order.
