Aus beat SA by 65 runs in ICC Women's T20 WC clash

Manchester, June 13 (UNI) Australia Women registered a dominant 65-run victory over South Africa Women in the 3rd match of Group A at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 at Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday.
Opting to bat first, Australia posted 172/8 in 20 overs, riding on a blistering half-century from Phoebe Litchfield and key contributions from Ellyse Perry and Georgia Wareham.
Litchfield smashed 50 off 24 balls with nine fours and a six at a strike rate of 208.33, giving Australia early momentum despite quick wickets. Ellyse Perry added a steady 36 off 26 deliveries, while Wareham's 32 off 22 balls further strengthened the innings. Annabel Sutherland (21 off 14) and Nicola Carey (13 not out) helped Australia finish strongly.

The Swede entered the competition at 5.80 meters and comfortably cleared 5.90, 6.00 and 6.07 on
