Australian High Commissioner meets CM Hemant Soren, extends invitation to visit Australia

Ranchi, Dec 14 (UNI) Australian High Commissioner to India, Philip Green OAM, on Saturday paid a courtesy call on Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office in here and extended a formal invitation to the Chief Minister to visit Australia.
During the meeting, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Jharkhand and Australia, promoting mutual cooperation across various sectors, and exploring investment opportunities in the state. Mining, mine safety, and sustainable development emerged as key areas of deliberation.
Chief Minister Soren apprised the Australian delegation of Jharkhand’s natural resources and the state government’s investment-friendly policies. He also shared his vision of transforming Jharkhand from a labour-based economy to a knowledge-based economy, to which the Australian side assured cooperation and collaborative support.
