Ayan Agnihotri sang the song 'Come On Baby' from 'Bandar' on Nikhil Dwivedi's request

Mumbai, May 15 (UNI) The makers of "Bandar" have revealed that the track 'Come On Baby' has been sung by Ayaan Agnihotri after producer Nikhil Dwivedi encouraged him to take on the song.
The film, headlined by Bobby Deol and directed by Anurag Kashyap, has been generating considerable anticipation since its announcement, a buzz that has further intensified after the release of its gritty and stylised teaser.
Kashyap and Deol's directorial debut also stars Sanya Malhotra, Raj B. Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, Indrajit Sukumaran and Nagesh Bhosale in pivotal roles.
As soon as the film's teaser was released, its intense and different world captured audiences' attention. Bobby Deol's new avatar, raw energy, and powerful visuals went viral on social media, drawing praise from both audiences and celebrities. However, the song "Come On Baby," used in the teaser, also garnered widespread acclaim. This song marks Salman Khan's nephew Agnihotri's first Hindi track, and was created at the request of producer Dwivedi.
It's being reported that Dwivedi, a close friend of the Khan family, persuaded Agnihotri to sing this song after hearing him sing at a private function.
According to a source, "Ayan doesn't usually sing in Hindi. Nikhil felt his voice was quite unique, so he asked Ayan to try it. Nikhil assured him that if he didn't like it himself, the song wouldn't be used. But after hearing his own voice, Ayan agreed. Even Bobby Deol encouraged him after hearing the scratch version."
Interestingly, "Come On Baby" is recreated from the album of the 1977 film "Videsh", starring Mahendra Sandhu, Shoma Anand, and Prem Krishnan. Dwivedi had the song in mind for years. The source further added, "While making Bandar, Nikhil wanted to use it for Bobby Deol's character, an aging TV actor whose career is on the decline. The lyrics have remained the same, but Aditya Dev and Payal Dev have recreated it in a new style."
Written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, the film presents an emotionally intense and morally fraught story set in a world of fame, scandal, desire, and public fallout. Produced in association with Dwivedi's Saffron Magicworks and Zee Studios, Bandar will release worldwide in theaters on June 5, 2026. UNI NST CDS
