Ayushman Bharat SEHAT Scheme: No cashless treatment to Golden Card beneficiaries from July 1: J&K PHDA

Jammu, June 9 (UNI) Private hospitals and dialysis centres are likely to permanently suspend Golden Card services under the Ayushman Bharat–SEHAT Scheme from July 1 due to alleged prolonged non-payment of claims and non-compliance with National Health Authority (NHA) guidelines.
According to a handout issued on Tuesday, beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat–SEHAT Scheme may no longer be able to avail themselves of cashless treatment through Golden Cards at private hospitals and dialysis centres across Jammu and Kashmir from July 1.
The Jammu and Kashmir Private Hospitals and Dialysis Centres Association (JKPHDA) as per the handout on Tuesday expressed concern over persistent delays in reimbursement of approved claims, stating that the financial viability of many empanelled institutions has come under severe stress despite continued delivery of healthcare services to beneficiaries.
