Azim Premji urges Universities to think 100 years ahead

Bengaluru, Nov 15 (UNI) Industrialist Azim Premji on Saturday called on universities to think a century ahead, emphasizing the critical role of higher education in shaping society and the importance of building institutions with strong culture, values, and purpose.
Premji, the former chairman of Wipro and a globally recognized philanthropist, addressed Chanakya University virtually, congratulating its leadership and acknowledging their extraordinary efforts in establishing a university committed to public service and academic excellence.
Premji, who took charge of Wipro at the age of 21 and transformed it from a hydrogenated oil company into a global technology leader, highlighted three key lessons from his experience in building institutions: the importance of culture, long-term growth, and the central function of educating students.
