Changzhou, July 21 (UNI) Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu has revealed how Indian cricket team legend Virat Kohli helped her navigate one of the most challenging periods of her badminton career.
In an emotional post on social media, Sindhu shared how a conversation with former India captain Virat Kohli helped her overcome a prolonged dip in form and a series of injury setbacks.
“One thing I’ll always be grateful for, though, is Virat bhai. I reached out to him at one of the lowest points of my career,” Sindhu wrote. “Injuries were piling up, the results weren’t coming, and I just needed someone who understood. He replied within minutes, and we met the very next day.

New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) PV Sindhu will begin her BWF World Championships 2026 campaign in here on Monday with the opportunity to become the first badminton player to win six medals at the marquee event.
The former world champion already owns five medals - one gold, two silver and two bronze - and another podium finish at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium would take her clear of People Republic of China's Lin Dan and Zhao Yunlei, who also won five.
