Bangladesh court issues arrest warrant for cat killer

Dhaka, Mar 24 (UNI) A court in Bangladesh's capital, Dhaka, has issued an arrest warrant against a man in a case filed over the death of a cat.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate GM Farhan Ishtiaque passed the order Sunday after taking cognizance of the charges brought against Akbar Hossain Shiblu, who faced an arrest warrant for his involvement in killing a cat on Feb. 1.
On Feb. 5, Nafisa Naurin Chowdhury, on behalf of the People for Animal Welfare Foundation in Bangladesh, lodged the case.
In the case statement, Nafisa said that the cat went missing on Feb. 1.
Subsequently, the CCTV footage showed Shiblu kicking the cat to death.
