Bangladesh: Violence erupts in Dhaka as garment workers clash with police, army

Dhaka, Oct 31 (UNI) Bangladesh capital Dhaka's Kafrul area turned into a battlefield on Thursday morning as readymade garment workers clashed with police and army personnel in protest against layoffs and closure.
Protesters vandalised and set fire to two police and army vehicles, including those of Kazi Golam Mostafa, the officer-in-charge of Kafrul Police Station, The Daily Star reported.
In response, police and army personnel took action to disperse them, the OC added.
