Behbal Kalan case returns to haunt Sukhbir Badal

Chandigarh, June 11 (UNI) The investigation into the 2015 Behbal Kalan firing incident has taken a fresh turn, with former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Raghbir Singh, recording his statement before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case.
His deposition is expected to add a significant dimension to the ongoing investigation and could potentially increase legal and political challenges for Shiromani Akali Dal president and former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
According to sources, Giani Raghbir Singh informed the SIT that Sukhbir Singh Badal had acknowledged his responsibility in connection with the Behbal Kalan firing episode during his appearance before Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
