Bengal: BJP leader seeks fresh probe into 2018 attack, targets Abhishek Banerjee

Kolkata, June 10 (UNI) Political temperatures in West Bengal's Diamond Harbour area in South 24 Parganas district have risen yet again after BJP leader Abhijit Das (Bobby) approached the police seeking a fresh investigation into an alleged attack on him in 2018.
Das, three-time BJP candidate from the Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha constituency, told mediapersons on Wednesday that he has submitted a written application at the local police station on Tuesday night, requesting a reinvestigation into an incident that allegedly took place on December 21, 2018.
He linked the attack to his public remarks questioning the educational qualifications and academic credentials of Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee.
