Bengal budget to be placed next month, priority to solving drinking water problem: Agnimitra

Asansol, May 17 (UNI) West Bengal Minister Agnimitra Paul on Sunday said the full state budget will be presented in June, in which priority will be given to solving the drinking water problem in the state.
It may be mentioned that the preceding Trinamool Congress-led state government had placed an interim budget in February in view of the then approaching Assembly elections.
Paul, the Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister, said there would be a probe into pending projects of municipal corporations, as many of these have remained incomplete because of a lack of proper monitoring of development works during the previous government run by the Trinamool Congress.
