Bengal people prioritise family & financial security

Kolkata, Sept 4 (UNI) West Bengal is one of the top states in India with high potential for life insurance penetration, a recent study by the Insurance Awareness Committee (IAC-Life), conducted in collaboration with Kantar, a market research platform, has identified.
The study underscored the importance of region-specific insights in advancing insurance penetration. It has presented data that can be used to create customised and region-specific strategies to deepen life insurance awareness and adoption across India.
Accordingly, the study highlights West Bengal as one of the most emotionally grounded and financially aware markets in India. The state recorded 100 per cent awareness of life insurance and showed deep rooted values around family first thinking, calculated financial decision-making, and long-term planning.
