Bengal: Rs 3000 Annapurna Yojona amount gets deposited in a man's account

Purulia, June 11 (UNI) After the massive brouhaha over men allegedly receiving funds earmarked for Lakhsmir Bhanda, a monthly financial assistance scheme for women given during the TMC regime, now Rs 3,000 under the new BJP government's Annapurna Yojona project has been transferred to a male's bank account in West Bengal's Purulia district.
The monthly Annapaurna Yojona, which was a part of the BJP's election promise, has been officially been implemented from this month. The Suvendu Adhikari-led BJP government took office on May 9, 2026.
An aged person of Raghunathpur sub-division in Purulia district, Swadesh Priya Mahato, went to update his bank passbook in a central public sector bank and found that Rs 3000 amount under the Annapurna Yojona had been directly credited into his bank account on June 3.

THRC directs Tripura govt to pay compensation to cyber fraud victim
