Bhubaneswar to host Eastern Regional Agriculture Conference to review key farmer welfare schemes

Bhubaneswar, May 18 (UNI) Bhubaneswar will host the Eastern Regional Agriculture Conference on Tuesday, bringing together policymakers, agriculture experts, scientists, farmers and key stakeholders to review major welfare schemes and deliberate on pressing issues concerning the agriculture sector.
The high-level conference will be chaired by union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, agriculture ministers from several states, senior government officials, scientists, farmer representatives, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), startups, banking institutions and agricultural experts are expected to participate.
The conference aims to accelerate the overall growth of the agriculture sector, improve farmers’ incomes and strengthen cooperation between the Centre and states for more effective implementation of agricultural policies and welfare programmes.

West Bengal sets deadline for land acquisition to fast-track railway projects
