Bihar: BJP MP seeks naming of Bihta airport after Swami Sahajanand

Patna, 17 May (UNI) BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Nawada Vivek Thakur on Sunday urged Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary to name the proposed Bihta Airport after Swami Sahajanand Saraswati, a prominent peasant leader and freedom fighter.
Speaking after meeting the Chief Minister here, Thakur said the proposal aims to honour the legacy of Swami Sahajanand, widely regarded as a pioneer of the farmers’ movement in India. He said naming key infrastructure after such great personalities would inspire future generations and strengthen public awareness about their contributions.
During the meeting, Thakur also discussed various issues related to the vision of a “Viksit Bihar” and urged the government to develop the birthplaces of eminent personalities across the state as model villages. He said this would ensure holistic development of those areas while preserving their historical significance.
