Bihar CM directs speedy completion of schemes in Sitamarhi & Sheohar

Patna, Jan 19 (UNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday reviewed the progress of development schemes in Sitamarhi and Sheohar districts during his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra and directed officials to ensure speedy completion of projects, particularly those announced earlier during the Pragati Yatra.
In Sitamarhi district, the Chief Minister inaugurated a high-level RCC bridge with approach roads over the Bagmati river at Chandauli Ghat on the Minapur-Belsand road, constructed at a cost of Rs 70.89 crore. He also inaugurated the Nakshatra Vatika at PM Shri Hit Narayan Plus Two High School in Chandauli Gram Panchayat under Belsand block.
Addressing a programme at Hit Narayan Inter-level School in Chandauli, the Chief Minister remotely inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 67 development schemes worth Rs 554.12 crore. Of these, 26 schemes worth Rs 208.12 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for 41 schemes for Rs 346 crore.

658 Bangladeshi nationals detected, prosecuted in Meghalaya, 194 deported: Tynsong

Shillong, Feb 17 (UNI) Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister in charge of Home, Prestone Tynsong on Tuesday said 658 Bangladeshi nationals have been detected and prosecuted in the state since 2021, with 194 deported after completing their sentences.
He said the government has established a “comprehensive and multi-layered anti-infiltration mechanism” to tackle illegal migration.

Youth found dead near railway track in Jharkhand

Manipur Higher Secondary examination begins
