Bihar: GA still uncertain over seat sharing, NDA gears up for poll battle

Patna, Oct 17 (UNI) Notwithstanding marathon negotiations, the opposition Grand Alliance failed to give final shape to seat sharing among its partners as the nominations for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections closed today.
While uncertainty continued in the opposition camp, the state's ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) launched a high-voltage campaign after finalising and formally releasing its list.
While the nomination filing deadline has expired for 121 seats slated for polling in the first phase of the elections on November 6, the Congress remained the only party from the GA to officially release its list, announcing 48 candidates.
