Bihar: Nityanand Rai warns against return of 'Jungle Raj', slams RJD's 15 year misrule

Patna, Oct 5 (UNI) union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai today strongly attacked the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its leader Tejashwi Yadav, cautioning the people of Bihar to remain vigilant against those who once pushed the state into "jungle raj" and "goonda raj".
Describing the RJD's 15 year rule from 1990 to 2005 as the "darkest chapter in Bihar's history," Rai told news persons here that the period was marked by widespread crime, corruption, kidnapping, loot and caste massacres, for which he held the RJD and the Lalu family directly responsible.
He alleged that from 1990 to 2005, Bihar was turned into a centre of loot, murder, and abduction and people were afraid to step out even in daylight".
