BJP blocks MGNREGA and Awas Yojana fund but now spending money on "misleading" advertisements: Mamata

BJP blocks MGNREGA and Awas Yojana fund but now spending money on

Gopiballavpur/Daspur (WB), May 17 (UNI), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alleged on Friday that the BJP is now spending money on "misleading" advertisements.
Addressing the election rally, Banerjee said, "In advertisements everywhere, the PM is claiming to give free electricity and cooking gas, but people have not gotten anything. Do not trust 420 Babus, as whatever they print in newspapers is using money."
"The BJP blocked the MGNREGA dues of 59 lakh workers and the funds for houses of Awas Yojana beneficiaries, but is using money to give advertisements and spread their propaganda," she said.
"I condemn those who are allowing misleading advertisements, presented as statements,
without including the name of the publisher. Today, there were a few photos of people.
thanking PM Modi and the Home Minister for CAA. "
"The entire thing is a lie orchestrated by the BJP, just as they did in Sandeshkhali. I urge my Matua brothers and sisters to not fall for it. The moment anyone applies under CAA, they will be dismissed as foreigners," she added.
"The entire thing is a lie, but seeing the advertisement, people might question if it is the truth. Let me tell you, it is not the truth but a falsehood and only a part of the politics before the elections. After
When the polls are over, people will be expelled from their homes and put in jails. Do not trust.
Modi or his people. They are 420, and their words have no guarantee," she stated.
"The BJP claims that they are giving free rations, but it is a lie. For the past two years, it has been the state government that has been bearing the costs and providing free food grains to people. Their claims are 420, and there is no guarantee. They have also been claiming that they are ensuring water supply, but In reality, we are providing over 70% of the resources for the water supply scheme.
"We have cleared the dues for the MGNREGA workers who were made to wait for two years by the BJP government. The state government has come up with the Karmashree scheme, under which
Job cardholders will be given 50 days of work, which can be extended up to 60 days. "
"By December, our state government will clear the first installment of houses for 11 lakh Awas.
Yojana beneficiaries, who were denied a roof over their heads by the BJP.,
"The BJP is desperate to secure a win. If they win, they will impose NRC-UCC, which will erase the
identities of our diverse communities. If Modi wins, he will not allow elections anymore."
"When the India Bloc comes to power, we will abolish CAA-NRC-UCC. I have no relations with them in Bengal, but I am associated with them when it comes to the national level. When the India Bloc forms the government, we will also hear out the demands of the Sari and Sarna groups," she stated.
