BJP improves seat tally, emerges single largest party in several municipalities: Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad, Feb 16 (UNI) Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Monday said the Bharatiya Janata Party has significantly improved its performance in the recent Urban Local Body (ULB) elections, emerging as the single largest party in over 15 municipalities and playing a key role in the election of chairmen and vice-chairmen.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office here, Rao said that while the party won fewer municipalities than expected, its overall vote share and seat tally registered a sharp rise. He said the BJP’s strength in urban local bodies increased from 204 seats in 2020 to 336 seats in the latest elections.
Rao thanked voters for reposing faith in the BJP and said the party secured chairperson posts in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, Narayanapet and Bhainsa municipalities.

CAG report exposes financial indiscipline of Naidu headed government: AP Ex-CM

Vijayawada, Mar 11 (UNI) Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed on Wednesday that the CAG report has ratified what YSRCP has been consistently stating about the financial indiscipline of the Chandrababu Naidu government.
Talking to mediapersons, he said that the CAG report revealed that the Naidu government has taken a whopping Rs 3.2 lakh crores loans in just two years while the borrowings during the entire five-year term of the previous YSRCP government was Rs 3.31 lakh crores.
