BJP MLA Dr Singh writes to CM Yogi, urging reduction of school bag burden

Lucknow, May 17 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh has termed the increasing academic pressure and the issue of heavy school bags on young children as a serious concern.
He has written to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath requesting the issuance of necessary guidelines in the interest of children.
He stated that children between 5 and 10 years of age are being forced to carry excessively heavy school bags every day, adversely affecting their spine, physical development, and mental health. Doctors and child specialists have also consistently expressed concern over this issue.
